Carter Lee Mijangos, 4, of Morgantown, passed away too soon after complications from long term illness on May 12, 2021 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. 

 He was born January 23, 2017, the son of Malanna Marie Mijangos and Donald Eugene "Buddy" Gorbey.

 He loved Paw Patrol, Shrek, and Superheroes. In his short life, he captured the hearts of everyone he met. Carter was lucky to have such a big family. 

He leaves behind his younger sister, Lilyanna Marie Mijangos. Also several grandparents, great great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

 Carter is preceded in death by his paternal great grandpa, Charles Wesley Gorbey; his great grandpa, Dennis Lepka; his maternal great-great-great grandma, Della Avenelle Colegrove; and his cousin, Shawn Anthony Tomblin.

 Friends and family will be received on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Hastings Funeral Home,153 Spruce St., from 2 p.m. until the time of the Service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Brian Long officiating. Cremation services will follow.
