We would like to thank everyone who has remembered, prayed and donated in honor of Rayden. It hasn’t been easy to handle the reality of Rayden’s sudden death. The bereavement process has been so hard for all of us, but the outpouring of love from everyone has made this road a little easier.
We are using the funds for the crematory, obituaries, cemetery lot at Bayside Cemetery and a monument. Our hopes were for all of us to be together in one grave but unfortunately the cemetery requires us to each have our own individual grave.
We were never prepared for the depth of despair that Rayden’s death brought. The connection of every one of our friends helps us tremendously to ease back into the everyday activity of life, physically, if not yet emotionally. The acts of kindness have been endless, and our gratitude will be as well. Each one of you deserve to be recognized for being truly amazing.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017, the family of Rayden L. LaBarge was devastated by Rayden's unexpected death while he was being treated for the flu. Rayden was an active 6th grader at Potsdam Central School, enjoying his education with the hope of being a scientist and curing cancer. He had his own science project in his bedroom, watching and documenting the growth of mold spores. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, playing computer games, and being with his friends. Rayden's love for his family was evident; always quick to hug and tell them he loved them. He was blessed with a bright spirit and a smile that will never be forgotten. Over the past few days, his family is overwhelmed with the community support that has been shown to them. The funeral home is not charging for their services, but Rayden's family will incur third party costs (cemetery, monument, etc.) that need to be paid and medical expenses. Unfortunately, recently his father was laid off, so they are seeking community assistance in covering these expenses.
Since this account is administered by an accounting firm, Rayden’s family wants to assure everyone that any donated funds will go toward these expenses. Please find a way in your heart to help Rayden's family, who now go on without him in their lives.
