Ruth Ann Brown, 55, of Morgantown, WV, passed away at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was born on December 7, 1965, to the late Gary Allen Brown and Lola Jean Shaffer Brown at St. Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Ruth enjoyed fishing, genealogy and, most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Pete Shade, whom she married on May 27, 2000; sister, Sherry Jackson and husband, Cliff, of Morgantown; four children: son, Chad Shade and wife, Kristen, of Fellowsville; stepson, Zack Wilson, of Morgantown, daughter, Jeanie Brown, of Morgantown; son, Isaiah Shade and fiancé, Amanda Faulknier, of Morgantown; grandchildren: Valory, Kayden, Madechai, Marianna, Ava and Liam; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by brother-in-law, James Shade, and sister-in-law, Eva Shade.

Private family services will be held at Hastings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Halleck Cemetery.

In accordance with CDC pandemic guidelines, all visitors are to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
